Sitting

Sitting Things is an ongoing series about chairs and the most comfortable sometimes awkward, ritual of sitting. It comes out of an obsession with chairs as both structure and symbol—where bodies meet design, and where class, comfort, and improvisation quietly play out.
The project includes restorations, constructions, and drawings that explore chairs as fragments—parts found, built, or barely held together. Many of the works aren’t traditional furniture but spatial studies: ways to think through support, balance, and material memory.
Each piece is documented through images and drawings, treating the chair not just as a design object, but as a conversation between architecture and everyday life.
