Johan Wijesinghe is an architect and researcher exploring how to design buildings that are better, faster, and more sustainable. His work spans product development to generative design — highlighting new construction systems, examining design in an age of information abundance, and showing how AI can reimagine space as a field of learnable patterns.

With degrees from UCL and SCI‑Arc, Johan has collaborated with ETH Zurich, Google REWS, LACMA, and the University of Oregon, delivering projects across North America and Europe. At LEVER Architecture, he developed new timber systems and decision‑making tools for low‑carbon design, securing over $300K in R&D funding. He currently co‑leads the ETH Zurich studio Architecture in Large Quantities with Gilles Retsin, investigating prefab construction, new business models, and the role of AI in the future of architectural production.
